When you think of fitness, golf isn’t generally the first word that comes to mind. However Moore Park Golf, one of Sydney’s most innovative public golf courses, is leading the way by combining fitness and introducing more women into golf with new programs such as Get Me Started and Swing Fit.
The new women’s only programs incorporate learning basic golf skills whilst getting your whole body moving through yoga/pilates style exercises.
What’s even better is that classes start from $10 and go for 1.5 hours so it’s a fun and social way for women to be introduced to the great game of golf as well as develop golf skills.
Why golf is good for you
The health benefits of golf are far greater than most of us seem to believe and no doubt has a greater and broader positive impact on our wellbeing than we realise. Golf is not only good for fitness but it reduces stress, keeps your heart healthy, improved sleep and helps you live longer.

Meet your coach Bobby
Both programs include everything from an introductory coffee to golf clubs, balls and a PGA professional coach, Bobby Walia, who is part of Sydney Golf Academy with over 15 years of international playing and coaching experience. Learn more about Bobby here.
“I really enjoyed my first class. The highlight for me was learning from someone like Bobby. He is a fantastic teacher, engaging and had a great way of making a non-golfer feel as though we were capable of achieving and mastering the art of golf. I’m excited to get back for my next lesson,” Carla
