    Plaster Painting in the Parklands

Plaster Painting Studios

Centennial Parklands is a haven for kids, and not just during school holidays. Tucked away in the Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park is a gem of a business that has attracted many over the years, with the odd celebrity thrown in – the Plaster Painting Studios.

What is Plaster Painting Studios?

Plaster Painting Studios is a family run business that has been operating for 12 years. The idea for the business came to owner Michelle while, as a single mother, she was wanting to be present whilst bringing up her son.

Michelle is amusingly known by many customers as “The Lady”, because all the mothers say: “Take it to the lady” (her staff have even cemented the nickname by having it printed on her apron!).

Why is Plaster Painting Studios so special?

There are over 300 choices of plaster model in the store. These have incredibly all been lovingly hand-made. The choice available is amazing, covering every creature imaginable from fish and dolphins to unicorns, horses and dogs!

With over 300 handmade pieces to choose from, there is something for every child!

Michelle’s priority is to keep this both a enjoyable and affordable activity for families. Prices range from $6 to $25 – so there is something for every budget and every boy and girl. The price includes everything, smocks, paints and accessories, gloss and glitter and is dry and wrapped in 15 minutes.

It’s fun for all ages and clients include Vacation Care Groups, OOSH, Corporate Family Fun Days, adult team building days and disability groups.

Kids parties are fantastic fun!

And one of the most popular features?

Michelle says that she is most proud of her fabulous birthday parties, estimating that she has hosted over 1,800 to date!

At just $20 per child, Michelle’s parties include old-fashioned dancing and games.

OK, and what’s this about celebrities?

Michelle recounts some of the more famous customers that have dropped in over the years – frequent visits from Jessica Rowe and her husband Peter Overton and their girls, Pat Cash and family, Mia Freedman to name a few. Angelina Jolie even recently dropped in with the kids for an hour in November last year and loved it – promising to be back!
